PhD Scholarship Program in agriculture for the applicants of Member countries of IICA within Latin America and the Caribbean at Mexico, 2012

Eligibility:The candidate must satisfy the following requirements:
-Be a national of or permanent resident in one of the Member countries of IICA within Latin America and the Caribbean
-Master the use of Spanish, since this will be the language of instruction of the postgraduate program in Mexico
-Undertake to return to his/her country of origin at the end of the program of studies, and to continue with the Project or institution which sponsored him/her
-Possess a minimum grade point average of 8.0 on a scale of 0-10, or its equivalent, at the level of studies proceeding the program to which the candidate has applied
-Be admitted to a postgraduate program that falls under the PNPC.
-Fulfill all the requirements outlined by the CONACYT within the time frame and terms indicated in the corresponding call for application.

Scholarship Open for Students of Following Countries: Member countries of IICA within Latin America and the Caribbean

Scholarship Description: The Government of Mexico, aware of the need to contribute, along with the Inter-American Institute for Cooperation on Agriculture (IICA), to the strengthening of technical capacities in the countries of Latin America and the Caribbean (LAC) in terms of giving high priority to agriculture, has agreed to establish a strategic Alliance with IICA which will be executed by the National Council on Science and Technology (CONACYT) in that country.Through this Alliance, CONACYT will offer a hundred scholarships per year to professionals in Latin America and the Caribbean (LAC) who wish to undertake postgraduate programs in sustainable agriculture or any other science related to the thematic areas of the Institute.
